Breathing fire: Jack de Belin of the Dragons is tackled during the Round 6 NRL match the Sharks at WIN Stadium in Wollongong on Friday. Picture: AAPIf Jack de Belin doesn’t get a call up for the 2018 NSW Origin squad, In The Clear Podcast regular Matt Lawrence has declared he’ll be calling for an official inquiry.

Matt’s call comes during the Round 7 edition of the podcast in which he is joined by hostChris Boulous and St George and Sutherland Shire Leader sports editor Andrew Parkinson.

As well as serving up their usual game analysis and weekly tips, the lads offer their early “certs” to get an original call up.

While much praise has been passed the way of the six for six Dragons, Lawrence reckons the string of outstanding performances of de Belin should place him as a standout for the representative gig, alongside his equally impressive teammate Tyson Frizell.

Parkinson, who covers weekly happenings in both the Dragons and Sharks camps, focused not on the fire-breathers but ratherthe current hot and cold form of the Cronulla crew.

He gives listeners the impression the bumpy ride is set to continue for at least the short-term.
